Some exciting activities took place at Cefyn Mawr Library in March. Pupils made LEGO animated video’s and built LEGO WeDo Robots. Thanks to the Urban Villages Communities First Team, Library staff and most of all the pupils for making the day such a success. The event was run by G2G Communities CIC / LEGO Education Innovation Studio and a big thank you to all the staff.

Our feedback from Cefn Mawr Library
Many many thanks for the G2G session in Cefn Mawr Library on Tuesday 1st March. The feedback from the children has been incredible everyone really enjoyed it (including myself).
The sessions were Lego Robots and Lego Movie Maker, these tied in with the new ICT curriculum which stipulate that the children have to do modelling, programming and De-bugging, all of this was covered in these 2 sessions.
The sessions were offered to the children three weeks ago by myself and it was agreed by the school that the children who would be allowed to come would be the most well behaved in the class, since the sessions the children have all talked about positive behaviour and good manners and how it led to them having a wonderful time in the library this can only be seen as a good thing by myself and the school.
I cannot praise highly enough the professionalism and efficiency of G2G, they breezed into the library and set up within minutes and were ready to go bang on time, the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable engaging with the children and the time seemed to fly by .
