Moira Lockitt, G2G Communities CIC Director, said:

The LEGO programme will make learning Science; Technology; Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects fun and exciting.

The Studio is based in the new North Wales Innovation Centre (NWIC), within a development by Denbighshire County Council at the Bee and Station Hotel.

At the official opening on Friday 20 September Chris Ruane (MP) SaidG2G Communities is a shining example of how much a social enterprise can achieve in such a short time’ ‘They really have gone from good to great’. Ann Jones (AM) said ‘G2G Communities has attracted a multinational organisation to one of the highest areas of deprivation in Wales and we look forward to seeing this social enterprise go from strength to strength’.

Moira Lockitt, Director of G2G Communities CIC, said:

Without the grant from Cyfenter we would not have been able to afford the equipment, staff or rental for the new LEGO ® Education Innovation Studio. Even before the official opening the project stimulated a great deal of interest from schools, employers, DWP/Job Centre Plus and other key players. We have several contracts starting at the end of September/October and due to the positive press and publicity the new centre has attracted from across North Wales G2G Communities CIC hope to attract more funding to take the LEGO ® resources mobile into Wrexham, Flintshire, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd.
