Our family learning sessions are designed to support learning and give strategies for parents to actively engage with their children and help them to adapt and support children’s learning and development.
The family learning sessions can be delivered in school, community centre or in our modern and friendly Rhyl Learning Centre; our sessions will use a tablet (iPad) and LEGO Robotics to be fun and engaging.
Our family learning sessions benefit children by helping them become more:
- cooperative, considerate and communicative
- emotionally mature and socially confident
- motivated and self-reliant
- skilled in ‘school success strategies’ and academic basics
LEGO is more than just a Toy
Our family learning sessions can provide robotics and programming experience, we can also offer LEGO Story Starter for younger children, this allows them to improve on STEM subjects at a young age and give them experience using a tablet and creating their own stop motion animation.
- Have you ever wondered just what you can do with LEGO?
- Would you like to know how to get the best out of the LEGO you already have?
- Do you want to help your child to develop their skills and imagination?
- Would you like to be able to help your child learn through constructive play?
Here are just some of the things you will learn to do with your children during these hands on sessions:
- Language Development
- Problem Solving
- Personal and social development
- Story writing and telling
- How things work
- The environment
- Road and rail safety
- Science and Engineering
Family learning is very important to us, find out more about the children and parents in our family learning sessions below.
