Lego Group
A LEGO Education Innovation Studio to create the engineers of the future has been opened in Rhyl.

G2G Communities CIC have teamed up with LEGO Education to develop the facility that will teach children technology, maths and engineering skills by using the LEGO equipment. It is the first such facility in the UK.

Moira Lockitt, G2G Communities CIC Director, said: “The LEGO programme will make learning Science; Technology; Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects fun and exciting.”

The Studio is based in the new North Wales Innovation Centre (NWIC), within a development by Denbighshire County Council at the Bee and Station Hotel.

Matt Parks, Regional Sales Manager UK & Ireland LEGO Education Europe, said: “Students need to learn skills that are relevant and applicable for their and our futures and it is great to see local organisations stepping up to help that happen.”
