KWT – Go Wild Weekend

G2G Communities CIC and Oaktree Child Care Centre ‘Go Wild’

KWT Go Wild

KWT Go WildOn the 10thand 17thDecember 2012 children/staff from the Forest Fun Club at the Oaktree Child Care Centre and staff from G2G Communities CIC made bird and wildlife feeders, bird/bat boxes and other wildlife habitats as part of the Keep Wales Tidy ‘Go Wild Weekend’. Working in partnership with Denbighshire Countryside Services the boxes and feeders will be put up around the Brickfields Ponds and Marine Lake in the New Year.

KWT Go WildThe children had already produced a scrap book of the event and were monitoring what wildlife and birds were attracted to the feeders put up on the 10thDecember.

Lottery FundedAs part of a small lottery funded project the Children received the very first copies of the G2G Communities CIC ‘Out and About’ guides. A CD of all the guides in both Welsh and English will be available in the New Year and copies will be free to schools and other organisations wishing to help the environment and introduce youngsters and adults to the rich natural habitats in Rhyl, Denbighshire and Conwy. Look out in the G2G News section in the New Year as to how you can get your free copy.
