G2G Communities CIC commended for its role in the Jobs Growth Wales programme
On the 1 August after completing his six month placement Liam Knight will be employed by G2G Communities CIC as the full-time Programme Manager.
Liam and the Directors of G2G Communities CIC Dr William Lockitt and Moira Lockitt were invited to meet the First Minister Carwyn Jones and Deputy Minister for Skills and TechnologyKen Skates in Cardiff on Wednesday 16 July where a video of Liam and G2G Communities CIC was shown to the audience.
Liam receives monthly mentoring meetings from Clive Rowland who is an Employment Training coordinator with Groundwork North Wales to ensure that both employer and employee are happy and progressing within the role efficiently.
G2G Communities CIC value their staff and for the Company Directors, Moira and Bill, this opportunity gave them both pride that they were helping develop young people into employment and give them the step up they deserve. G2G has also provided opportunities for Liam to develop his qualifications and broaden his experience during the placement.
Director Moira Lockitt said: ‘We are extremely pleased to be working with Groundwork North Wales and the opportunity this has provided to give a young person such as Liam a chance to develop their skills, qualifications and work experience whilst working for us’ ‘Liam is proving to be a great asset to the organisation and is providing a positive contribution to the implementation of new projects we have been developing over the past six months. We are very pleased that he will be continuing to be employed by G2G Communities CIC when his placement comes to an end.
