A Rhyl based not for profit organisation working throughout North Wales in some of the highest areas of deprivation has been awarded a second space project to highlight future education, career prospects and opportunities within the space industry.
Director Moira Lockitt said ‘Since 2010 G2G Communities CIC / LEGO Education Innovation Studio has been pioneering Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) throughout North Wales to Schools, adults, community, business and industry using LEGO robotics, programming and a range of innovative delivery models. The success of these innovative programmes has been recognised during the past six years and we are extremely pleased that our proposal to the UK Space Agency ‘Full STEAM ahead’ has been successful. ‘During October 2016 to March 2017 G2G Communities CIC, in partnership with the OpTIC Technology Centre in St Asaph, will be delivering a range of free programmes to Schools and organising Family learning and career events and activities’.
