Stop motion is an animation technique to make objects appear to move by themselves. Objects are moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence.
Stop motion animation was used to make Wallace & Gromit using clay.
This fun and simple course allows you to try stop motion animation using many different materials such as figures, clay, drawings, Lego and people – best of all using software and music that is free!

What experience do I need to attend?
This beginner’s course is designed for students who have no or little experience of stop motion animation. No previous experience of any stop animation is assumed or required. Basic computer and camera skills would be beneficial but not required.
Duration: 3 hours
Equipment: All equipment and tools will be provided. You’re welcome to bring your own digital camera and accessories (charger, usb lead, tripod etc.)
