Welcome to the second instalment of our newsletter, let's start off with a quick summary of what G2G Communities has been up to recently - we have a bumper issue, reader we have lots of great things to share.

Another New Skills, New Life course comes to an end, our learners had a wonderful time and feedback was extremely positive. We are running this programme in partnership with the Job Centre and the Department for Works and Pensions (DWP) - find out about >> our learners experiences. All our participants said they would recommend this course to others.

On 15 December British European Space Agency astronaut Tim Peake will be launched on his mission to the International Space Station. We will be providing lots of opportunities to follow his journey, come and learn about the science behind micro-gravity and weightlessness, the effect on the human body and use our LEGO Education robots to engineer robotic rovers - read more >>

On Thursday 12th & Friday 13th we attended the Big Bang Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Welsh Rally Event in Deeside.

Course information now online

We have recently added our First Aid Courses >> information online, all these courses can be delivered to suit your requirements. There is a course suitable for everyone, gain essential lifesaving skills or refresh your knowledge to maintain your skills.

New Skills, New Life November

G2G Communities CIC has supported over 80 people during the 'New Skills / New Life' programme and the feedback from participants has been extremely positive. Workskills training at Urban Villages Communities First

G2G communities CIC was asked to work with clients furthest away from employment by the Urban Village Communities First team.

It started off as a six week 2hr session in the morning but after the second week the number of participants grew to so many another session had ben be arranged and an afternoon session was delivered.

The programme has been so successful that a further six weeks has been scheduled, which will run until the New Year. As a British Computer Society test centre G2G has been able to make the Urban Village a satellite test centre and participants are now able to achieve industry recognized BCS qualifications.

Space Exploration

G2G Communities encourage learners to use technical skills, build tools to solve problems, from using apps to make animations to designing and making moving vehicles powered by bands and balloons. Big Bang STEM Welsh Rally Event

Thousands of pupils from Schools across Wales attended and were able to have some hands on experience of the LEGO Education robots and other resources available from G2G Communities CIC as a LEGO Education Innovation Studio.
