Sustainable 3D Printing

About Our Sustainable 3D Printing Centre

We are creating a Sustainable 3D Printing, Plastic Recycling Centre and Mobile 3D Printing Studio. Our goal is to provide educational sustainable 3D printing workshops throughout North Wales, and to provide a 3D printing centre in Rhyl for the benefit of Schools, the Community and Businesses. Our workshops are ideal for all ages and abilities, learn to design and print your very own 3D model - about our Sustainable 3D Printing Project..

Gwynt y Môr Funding 3D Printing

G2G Communities CIC is extremely pleased to have received £8560 toward the development of an exciting innovative technology project - Sustainable 3D Printing. The funding will be used to buy 3D Printers, to develop a qualification network, plastics recycling and education.

The Big Bang Rally

G2G Communities CIC at the Welsh Rally ‘Big Bang’

For the fourth year running we attended the Big Bang event as part of the Welsh Rally, held at Toyota in Deeside. A big thank you to Flintshire County Council for once again organising this fantastic event and attracting several thousand people to the Big Bang venue. Gwynt y Môr Community Fund

Working with the Gwynt y Môr Community Fund to run a programme of activities to get people back into employment, full or part time education, training & giving them the skills for life-long learning. Providing website design services and training to provide skills to make a success of their businesses online. The project will help to reduce unemployment and create future jobs as their business grow - Website Case Studies

Keepsakes Created

Trefor Prytch, Keepsakes Created

Trefor Prytch has setup Keepsakes Created after 30 years of working in sales and marketing. A Rhyl based artist that produces diverse types of work from prints to woodwork. He is currently focusing on his range of ‘Word Arts’ that are images created out of words.

Peep Practitioner

Sarah McCulloch, Peep Practitioner

Sarah McCulloch is a Peep Practitioner and has started her own business running Peep sessions after many years of experience of working in childhood development. The Peep programme helps support the home learning environment to improve children’s communication and language as well early development.

G2G Communities CIC CREST AWARDS

Before the summer holidays pupils from Christchurch CP School embarked on the first CREST Discovery Award delivered by G2G Communities CIC in Wales. Pupils more than achieved the criteria for the Discovery award and the photographs show Dr William Lockitt (G2G Strategic Policy Director) and the Deputy Head of Christchurch CP School Mr Bennett handing out the certificates to the pupils that took part.

At the end of the presentation pupils congratulated Dr Lockitt on his award of the 'Most dedicated STEM Ambassador for North and Mid Wales' and presented him with a certificate.

Children in Need Country File Ramble

Supporting Children in Need Country File Ramble

A big thank you to all the people that came to support the BBC Countryfile Ramble in aid of Children in need, including: Bill, Moira, Mark, Callum, Emma, Jane, Tom, Sue, Kevin, Gill, Tina, Amilia, Phil, Fiona, Davina and the Rhyl Pokemon Group. The walk raised £82.82 and G2G Communities CIC will make this amount up to £100. Well done to everyone that gave up their time to support this great cause.

Wicked Wales Animation at G2G Communities

Pupils from Christchurch CP School in Rhyl had a wicked time battling Witches and other demons, making their own stories come to life with LEGO and the Ipad. The animated movies will be on the G2G Communities CIC YouTube Channel next week, subscribe to get notified. Thank you to the School and pupils for taking part. The Wicked Wales festival has been a great success and we hope to support it again next year.

With our LEGO Education, Minecraft Education and Digital Skills we are delivering workshops and promoting Space Science in Schools and Communities, and provide news about local opportunities in the Space Sector in partnership with the UK Space Agency and the Welsh Government National Science Academy.

NSA 'All SySTEMs Go' Space Project

Over 36 pupils from Ysgol Cornist Park in Flintshire had the opportunity to take part in additional LEGO WeDo 2.0 Robotics training on Wednesday 8 November. The training will highlight the pupils that will be chosen to take part in the 'All Systems Go' competition in March 2018. The 'All SySTEMs Go' space programme has been funded by the Welsh Government and the National Science Academy. Well done to all the pupils that took part.
