Emergency Paediatric First Aid Courses

We ran two Emergency Paediatric First Aid Courses on Tuesday 3rd & Monday 9th January, 2017.

Congratulations to the twelve members of Ysgol Cornist Part staff that attended and passed the Emergency Paediatric First Aid course held at the School on the 3rd.

Congratulations to the ten staff members and two volunteers from ‘Action for Children’ who successfully completed the one day training on the 9th at our Learning Centre in Rhyl.

Thank you for the wonderful positive feedback from the courses:

Gwynt y Môr Community Fund

We are working with the Gwynt y Môr Community Fund to run a programme of activities to get people back into employment, full or part time education, training and giving them the skills for life-long learning. We also provide website design services and training to provide skills to make a success of their businesses online - g2gcommunities.org/pop-up-people-case-study/gwynt-y-mor. The project will help to reduce unemployment and create future jobs as their business grow.

Working with Conwy Communities First we ran a series of workshops in 2016 enabling local people to gain a City and Guilds IT qualification.

Last month we launched Mark Lloyd Jones website & help set-up his eBook to sell online.

Space Event - LEGO, Robotics & Minecraft Education

On Tuesday the 10th January, 2017 we ran a Space Event at our LEGO Education Innovation Studio in Rhyl with our staff and volunteers. Welcoming 60 children and their parents from Ysgol Brynteg Wrexham to a one day space activity. The activities were put on as part of the two Space projects in partnership with the UK Space Agency and the Welsh Government National Science Academy.

Parents/guardians and their children had the opportunity to build space stations and Mars rovers out of LEGO, roam through Space in Minecraft EDU, build robots and make animated space related video’s.

All the participants and staff would also like to thank the Foryd Community Centre for the excellent buffet they prepared and delivered on the day. A number of people commented on the quality and variety of food available and there were some very happy faces on the children. Here is just some of the feedback we had:
