All SySTEMs Go Launch

Welsh GovernmentLaunching into 2016 the ‘All SySTEMs Go‘ project is now live, our primary goal is to provide opportunities to young people at Key Stage 2 and 3 and to encourage learning about the space sector in their local communities and internationally. We will be launching the programme to Schools on the 25th of February, 2016 between 10.00 and 11.00 at the LEGO Education Innovation Studio in our learning centre the Bee and Station Business Centre in Rhyl to give the local community and students the opportunity to view some of our activities and come and talk with us about the All SySTEMs Go project. The All SySTEMs Go project will:

  • Provide a collaborative focus bringing together students, families, schools and businesses.
  • Sharing the exciting Tim Peake Six-month Principia Mission to the international Space Station, Expedition 46 and 47.
  • Inspire the community to take an interest in Space science and technology and promote careers in Science and Engineering to boost growth in the sector in North Wales.
  • Proving Key stage 2 and 3 students and teachers the opportunities to build robots, learn programming and explore the careers available.
  • Learn team working and collaborative focus, relationship building and about the local and global space community.
  • To promote women in science, challenge misconceptions and encourage more girls into STEM subjects.

Space Launch
G2G Communities CIC ‘All SySTEMs Go‘ project, supported by the National Science Academy (NSA) and Welsh Government will run from January 2016 until March 2018. We will use LEGO Education to promote Space Science in Schools throughout North Wales as well as providing news about local opportunities in the Space Sector and globally via our website, Facebook (facebook.com/spacestem) and Twitter (twitter.com/g2gcommunities). We will also make available Lesson plans, Curriculum resources, hangouts and other material on e-learning platform.
