Over 1200 volunteer hours and still counting

During the past twelve months staff and volunteers at G2G Communities CIC have given over 1200 hrs of their own time to community based projects and individuals, that equates to over £8400 already invested by G2G Communities CIC in making a difference in Denbighshire. G2G Communities have helped over 160 people to improve their employability skills by delivering four WCVA Gateway projects, learndirect courses, Open College Credits, BBC First Click, British Computer Society ECDL training and links with Coleg Harlech.

G2G is also involved with a number of environmental and other activities including, Rhyl in Bloom, Help the Heroes, Glan Morfa Community Woodland, Offas Dyke Walk and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tree planting. See the Help the Heroes video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfNcWSwwlSc and  the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at woodlandtrust.org.uk .

G2G Communities CIC have delivered two free environmental courses ‘Introduction to your local environment’ and ‘Introduction to Environmental Gardening’. In June 2011 we also ran a free ‘Introduction to arts and crafts’ as well as six free ‘Introduction to digital photography’  and ‘Manual handling’ courses.

More free courses will be available in the New Year so watch this space.
