Caernarfon Castle Event Now Fully Booked Over Easter

Don't forget we will be at Caernarfon Castle over Easter delivering LEGO Castle building / Minecraft Edu and iPad animation on behalf of CADW and the Welsh Government.

If you've been lucky enough to get a place, please do remember to wrap up warm and bring extra layers as it can get a bit chilly.

You will find us there on Monday 28th, Thursday 31st of March and Friday 1st April.

Aran Hufen Ia Ice Cream

Aran Hufen Ia (Ice Cream) Website Launch

Karen from Aran Hufen ia asked us to build a website for her lovely homemade ice cream and bike hire business. Aran Hufen ia (ice cream) comes in 17 flavours and is all homemade by Karen from her farmhouse kitchen on the Blwch y Groes between Llanuwchllyn and Dinas Mawddwy, using locally sourced Welsh products.

All SySTEMs Go News & Information

From now until March, 2018 we will be visiting Schools in and around North Wales to deliver enrichment activities. Using our LEGO Education and other resources we will be providing Key stage 2 and 3 students and teachers the opportunities to build robotslearn programming and explore the careers available in the Space Sector.

Rocket Assembly

America and Russia have very different ways of building rockets In America NASA's VAB (Formerly Vertical Assembly Building, now Vehicle Assembly Building) rockets are assembled vertically, the benefits of this are that the rocket can be made lighter, as it only has to take off and not be lifted up by a crane.

TGO Simulation

ExoMars Takes Off

On the 11th of March 2016 the Proton Rocket, that will lift the first ExoMars Satellite and lander from the Earth and transport to Mars, was taken to the launch site in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is a large country south of Russia which has been the best place for Russian and European space launches since the very first rocket Sputnik in 1957…

Blue Peter presenter Lindsey, competition winner Troy and UK ESA astronaut, Tim Peake with the patch. By Max Alexander from the UK Space Agency. How did Tim Peake become an Astronaut? In 2008 the European Space Agency (ESA), put out an ad for six jobs as an Astronaut, for the first time since 1992 British people were allowed to apply.

The National Student Space Conference 2016

The National Student Space Conference 2016

This year's UKSEDS conference took place 5th and 6th of March 2016 in Sheffield. On the 5th of March the conference was started with a keynote speech from Professor Mark McCaughrean European Space Agency's (ESA) Senior Scientific Advisor in the Directorate of Science and Robotic Exploration.
